Who we are? 

Boots Ireland is a member of Alliance Boots, the first global pharmacy-led health and well being enterprise. We've now brought together the very best from Alliance Pharmacy and Boots to create a new Boots business and we have just recently formed a new strategic partnership with Walgreens the largest pharmacy chain in the US. 

Our purpose is to help our customers look and feel better than they ever thought possible. Our customers are at the heart of our business. We're committed to providing exceptional customer and patient care, strive to be the most trusted brand for pharmacy and healthcare, offer innovative products 'only at Boots', with great value our customers love. 

On an international scale, Alliance Boots  has a presence in over 25* countries across Europe & Asia with over 116,000* employees.  We operate more than 3300* Health & Beauty retail stores of which just over 3200* have a pharmacy. 

Our first store in Ireland opened its doors in the Jervis Shopping centre in Dublin in 1996. In the late 1990s Boots acquired a number of Hayes Cunningham Robinson pharmacies and sites in and around Dublin city and we now trade under the name Boots Retail Ireland Ltd. 

Today we are a huge name on the Irish high street providing customers with all their healthcare and beauty needs. Between April 2011 and April 2012 Boots opened 13 new shop locations and acquired another location in Ireland. The most recent store to open in April 2012 was Ballina, Co. Mayo, and there are plans for more new openings in 2012. There are currently 72 stores in the Republic of Ireland, employing over 1900** people nationwide, including over 160** pharmacists.

Dress for Success – a group that promotes economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing the tools to help women thrive in the workplace. 

Schools Business Partnership at Work & Management Excellence for Teachers – a program to broaden students horizons about their future career and studies while encouraging school completion
